A piece of Copenhagen’s design soul. Retailed by the legendary Robert Rasmussen showroom in the Valby district, this armchair represents the "Golden Age" of Danish boutique furniture. Its true pedigree is confirmed by the original metal retailer’s badge: "Robert Rasmussen, Tlf. Valby 234." The "Valby 234" telephone exchange dates this piece to the early 1940s/50s, a era of ultra-limited production.
Every inch of this piece speaks to a pre-mass-production era. The frame is sculpted from rich, solid stained wood, featuring curved legs and an elegant, swept-back silhouette. Underneath the seat, you’ll find the original craftsman’s hand-written pencil marks—bench numbers used over 80 years ago to ensure each hand-cut joint fit with surgical precision.
