Kevi chair by Jorgen Rasmussen - a design philosophy rooted in absolute functionalism. Recognizing that human spines and postures vary wildly, he integrated a flexible backrest mechanism that accommodated the natural movement of the lower back. Every single line, curve, and lever serves a distinct mechanical purpose with height, tilt and other adjustments. In 1965, Rasmussen achieved an industrial design milestone that would change furniture history forever: he invented the double-wheel castor and the Kevi castor became a global phenomenon, finding its way onto furniture across the world and earning a permanent place in the cultural collections for its positive impact on millions of lives. The impact was instantaneous. The new castors drastically improved maneuverability while dramatically reducing wear and tear on delicate floorboards and parquet. Stripped of all superfluity, the compact profile emphasizes organic warmth through its upholstered shell while maintaining industrial rigor through its steel and aluminum framework.
Durable, deeply comfortable multi-purpose chair that could seamlessly transition from a corporate office to a domestic desk.
