Hans Olsen for Bramin armchair, 1957
TRUE VINTAGE
€340.00
Designed in 1957 by Danish master Hans Olsen for Bramin Furniture, the Model 107 lounge chair in a vibrant red-and-orange textured bouclé wool. This piece is a celebrated triumph of mid-century Scandinavian woodworking. Instantly recognizable by its dynamic, paddle-like upturned armrests and floating curved backrest, it strikes a perfect balance between expressive organic form and everyday practical comfort.
Hand-molded bentwood backrest frame integrated with dramatic winged armrests that give the chair a light, sculptural presence from every angle. The generous, slightly angled seat pad and contoured backrest deliver exceptional lumbar support while maintaining a compact, space-efficient footprint. The rear legs extend upward to cradle the backrest, showing off organic tapers and smooth transition lines into the lower cross-brace.
Model 107 was designed to be viewed from every angle. Because the back shell features a smooth, continuous teak veneer and elegant curved lines, this chair looks just as striking placed in the center of an open-plan room or next to a desk as it does against a wall.
